How do I get a freight quote?
Send the origin, destination, number of cartons or pallets, dimensions, weight and a description of the goods. Use the quote form or call the operations desk. Most quotes are returned the same working day.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (full container load) books a whole 20′ or 40′ container for your goods only. LCL (less than container load) shares a container with other shippers and is charged per cubic metre. LCL suits smaller volumes; FCL usually becomes cheaper once you fill around half a container.
Which documents do I need?
Usually a commercial invoice, a packing list and the transport document: an air waybill, bill of lading or CMR. Some goods also need certificates of origin, licences or permits. We confirm exactly what applies to your shipment.
Who pays customs duties and taxes?
That depends on the Incoterm agreed between buyer and seller. Under EXW or FOB the buyer normally pays import duties; under DDP the seller does. We can explain the options and estimate costs before you book.
Do I need an EORI number?
Businesses importing into or exporting from the UK or the EU need an EORI number for customs declarations. If you do not have one yet, we can tell you how to apply.
What is ISF and when is it needed?
Importer Security Filing (often called 10+2) is required by US Customs for ocean shipments into the United States and must be filed before the cargo is loaded at origin. We help collect the data and file on time.
How is air freight priced?
Air freight is charged on chargeable weight: the greater of the actual weight and the volume weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 6000). Use our calculator to check your shipment.
Are there goods you cannot ship?
Some items are restricted or prohibited, including certain chemicals, loose lithium batteries, weapons and counterfeit goods. Many hazardous goods can travel with the correct classification and packaging. Ask us before booking if you are unsure.
Can my shipment be insured?
Yes. Carrier liability is limited by international conventions, so we recommend cargo insurance for valuable goods. We arrange cover based on the invoice value.
How do I track my shipment?
Every booking has a reference. Your coordinator sends updates at each stage, and you can contact the operations team with your reference at any time for the latest status.
Ready to move your next shipment?
Send us the route, the cargo and your deadline. We reply with a clear price and transit time, usually the same working day.
